Affiliate disclosure
Casino Gaming SA accepts affiliate commission from SA-licensed online casinos. This page explains exactly how that works.
What is an affiliate relationship?
When you click a tracked link from Casino Gaming SA to an operator, the operator's affiliate platform records that the visit came from us. If you register and deposit at the operator, the platform pays us a commission. The commission is paid by the operator out of their marketing budget, not added to your costs. You pay the same price, deposit the same amount, and receive the same welcome offer whether you arrive via our link or directly.
Which operators do we have commercial relationships with?
The following operators are tracked partners. Our outbound links use commercial-link attributes in the HTML as required by search engine guidelines:
- 10bet - partner relationship disclosed in the operator review.
- ZAR Bets - partner relationship disclosed in the operator review.
- Playabets - partner relationship disclosed in the operator review.
- ApexBets - partner relationship disclosed in the operator review.
- TopBet - partner relationship disclosed in the operator review.
- Betbus - partner relationship disclosed in the operator review.
How commission rates work
Commission rates vary by operator and player activity. Common models in the SA market:
- Revenue share - we receive a percentage of the operator's net gaming revenue (after winnings) from players we refer, for the lifetime of the player account. Typically 25%-40% of net revenue.
- CPA (cost per acquisition) - we receive a one-time payment per qualifying referred player who deposits at least a minimum amount.
- Hybrid - combination of revenue share plus a smaller CPA.
How commission does (and does not) affect our work
It funds the editorial work. Commission pays for research, verification, design, hosting, and the team time required to keep reviews accurate. Without commission, this site does not exist.
It does not change our rankings. Our ranking method (see How We Review) weights licence trust 25%, welcome offer 20%, game library 20%, payouts 20%, mobile experience 15%. Commission rate is not a ranking input. Reviewing the rate sheet, our highest-commission operator does not sit at the top of the list.
It does not soften caution flags. Every review includes operator-specific cautions. We have removed operators from our review set when their licence detail became unverifiable, even though commission terms were active.
What we will not do
- Accept commercial relationships that limit our editorial freedom on caution flags.
- Soften wording on dispute records or regulator actions in exchange for higher commission.
- Promote welcome offers we cannot capture from the live cashier.
- List offshore operators without an SA provincial bookmaker licence.
- Promote operators without published self-exclusion routes or responsible-gambling controls.
How to spot an operator route on this site
Every operator card and CTA on this site that opens an operator website is a tracked partner route. We mark this in two ways:
- Commercial-link attributes on the link itself (visible in HTML).
- A disclosure box at the top of every page that references operators.
- Visible 18+ and T&Cs copy near operator routes.
What if you want to verify an operator without using our link?
Every operator review includes a non-tracked link to the operator official site footer (where you can verify the licence wording) and a link to the regulator record. You can register directly at the operator without using our affiliate route. Our commission depends on you using the tracked link, but our review accuracy does not.
Regulatory framework
South Africa's gambling sector is regulated provincially. Affiliate disclosures of the kind on this page are best practice under search-engine guidelines (Google's affiliate-link disclosure recommendations) and aligned with editorial standards used by major comparison publishers globally. Casino Gaming SA itself is not licensed; we are an editorial publisher, not an operator.
